Choose the right studio size
Every studio is available in four depths – 8′, 10′, 12′ and 13′ – so you can match the bay to a spare room, basement or garage.
- 8′ studio: the projector sits on the floor inside a protective floor mount (included with 8′ studios only). No ceiling installation is needed, which makes it ideal for rooms with limited overhead space.
- 10′, 12′ and 13′ studios: the projector mounts to the studio frame and can be ceiling mounted for a full image; hardware is included.

Who is it for?
The SkyTrak ST MAX Premium Studio is ideal if you want the full ST MAX experience and a putting surface, but do not need the laser projector and extras of the Ultimate package. It is the package most of our customers choose for a garage or basement build.

Want the laser projector, case and ball tray? Step up to the ST MAX Ultimate Studio. Prefer to keep costs down? The ST MAX Standard Studio drops the putting turf. We also recommend adding the MAX/ST+ protective case.

What room size do I need?
Choose the studio depth that fits your room, then check you have enough ceiling height to swing a driver comfortably. Send us your measurements and we will help you choose.
Is the projector easy to set up?
Yes. On 8′ studios it sits in a protective floor mount. On larger studios it mounts to the frame, with ceiling mounting as an option.
Can I play real courses?
Yes. Add a SkyTrak membership to play a large library of world-class courses from home in your SkyTrak ST MAX Premium Studio.
What about noise?
The impact screen and enclosure reduce bounce-back. For a quieter room, add acoustic wall tiles.

- Ceiling height: make a slow practice swing with your driver to confirm you have clearance at the top of the swing and through the finish.
- Width: allow space to stand comfortably beside the ball, plus room for the launch monitor and a safe gap to the walls.
- Depth: choose a studio depth that leaves space behind the hitting area to walk around and reach the projector.
- Flooring: a firm, level floor helps the mat lie flat and keeps readings consistent.
- Lighting and power: plan a power outlet near the projector and launch monitor, and keep strong light off the screen for the best picture.
